GN Solids Control manufactures various solids control equipments and provides to the global customers over 60 countries. Now GN Solids Control has 9 inchcentrifuge, 14 inch centrifuge, 18 inch centrifuge and 22 inch centrifuge.
GN 9 inch centrifuge is GNLW223, the rotating speed can reach to 4500 rpm for ultra fine solids or particles separation. When using different pulleys and belts, the centrifuge rotating speed can be adjusted. GN also provides variable speed centrifuge for clients have various fluids to treat. Treating capacity of this centrifuge is around 26 GPM, which will be a little different when treating different drilling fluids with different densities and viscosities.
GN mini decanter centrifuges are mainly used in the mining or core drilling area, which will be also used when have small treating capacity demand. During last year, GN Solids Control has provided many sets of small decanter centrifuge for world clients. Now we would like to share one testing result for our mini centrifuge GNLW223.
The treating material is 43% oil based slurry, density is 1650kg/m3, GN use a small positive displacement pump or screw pump to feed into this decanter centrifuge, treating capacity can be reach to 15GPM to 20 GPM. The rotating speed of GN decanter centrifuge is 2600rpm due to our client don’t need to have very dry solids or cuttings. The liquid density come out from the discharge port is 1200kg/m3, while the solid discharge is like mike shaker.
In order to have a large treating capacity, GN also provide customized pulley which helps to increase the rotating speed of the screw propeller. Our client wants the solid discharge is relative soft, so not plugging the decanter. In order to have a higher process rate, we’ve found that the main limitation now is coming from the solid discharge rate. We’ve found that double the screw speed will help. In that case we designed a small drive wheel and find some belts for this client. GN also provides large decanter centrifuge such as GNLW363 for large treating capacity.
